A man was arrested in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after claiming he was Denzel Washington.
Police were responding to a noise complaint when they found five people, including the 21-year-old, in an apartment reeking of marijuana inside, the Daily News Journal reported.
Upon sweeping the apartment, officers found several bags of marijuana tossed outside an open bedroom window with the screen missing. They were able to identify everyone in the house except for Memphian Justin Lee Seay, 21, who told police he was Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington, 59.
Police deduced the man was neither 59 nor Denzel Washington and arrested him on charges of felony drug possession, criminal impersonation, and violation of probation. He was booked into Rutherford County jail Tuesday morning with a $9,500 bail.
